Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White in the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. Her passion for performing in Preparatory School before moving to Ohio together with her family during the late 1970s. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career in Chicago-area theatres for a short time. Then she moved to TV and film. In 1992, Anna got her first major character in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's, she was given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully, the Deadwood film, and other movies were also starring her. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, a four part audio podcast that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life story and the strain on his relationship with Skyler is mirrored in the series.
